Separates a MultiPolygon into individual Polygon parts, or cuts a polygon into multiple pieces depending on the tool.

Split can mean different things depending on the tool. In polygon editing, a common split operation converts MultiPolygon parts into separate Polygon features. Other tools split a polygon along a drawn boundary or cutter geometry.
