Intersection
An operation that returns only the overlap area of two geometries.
Category: Operations
Definition (expanded)
Intersection keeps the shared area between A and B. It is often used for clipping one dataset to an AOI. Invalid input geometry is a common reason intersection fails or produces unexpected shapes.
